Parenting your dependent children

At a minimum, your Parenting Plan should include:

Designation of the primary residential parent. (The parent the children will reside with the majority of the time.)

The visitation or residential schedule for the parent that does not have the children the majority of the time.

The residential schedule for school breaks (winter, mid-winter, spring).

Vacation time each parent has with the children.

 

Your Parenting Plan sets forth your plans or agreements for parenting your children.

Holiday arrangements - time that the children with spend with each parent.

Arrangements for special occasions - birthdays, mother's day, father's day.

bullet

Transportation arrangements for the children.

bullet

How you will resolve any disputes involving the parenting of your children that may arise later.


Parenting Plans can be difficult to modify later so thought should be given to how the plan will work as your children age.
